According to the authoritative report, the number of college student is growth, while the quality is not as good as before. In the meantime, whether students perform badly should fail the course have spoken much debate? Some assert that school should not be so desperate, just turning a blind eye to their behavior, while others convinces that student should take their responsibility for their performance. Personally, I’min favor of second one.

Convince arguments can be made that if school let all students pass the course, it will increase their laziness. To start with, students will not worry about being registered by disciplinary inspector when they get up late. Therefore some of them will play computer games very late until midnight. Some students even don’t attend the class and finish assignments. They hold a view on mind: even they get a low score on final exam, they still can pass it. Besides, some students do somepart-time jobs or join in student union but they can’t be the excuses for escaping learning. Finally, if teachers get all students through the exam, it must be unfair to struggling students and damage school's reputation.
In summary, I would concede that students who perform badly should be fail, as it makes students more lazy, damage school's reputation and unfair to the diligent students.
How to see the athletes pay phenomenon
Salaries should reflect people’s dedication and job responsibilities. However, sports figures, who don’t benefit the community in general, earn millions of dollars each. In my opinion this is wrong. Things should be done to change this situation.
If we take the example of a sport star such as Tyson, it is hard for us to say in what way he benefits the society. In fact, his disobeying game rules sets a bad example for young people, and his abandoned behavior encourages people to experiment with sex and violence. Besides, his job does not require special skills or years of training and education. Although he can entertain and excite audience, I do not think he is justified to receive so much money and his job can be considered essential.
On the other hand, most people in ‘ordinary’ professions like nurses, doctors and teachers earn only a small fraction of the income of these “stars”. However, if we give a careful look at these professions, we will find that they not only require special skills and years of education but also help the people and the whole society. For instance, teachers disseminate knowledge to the society; doctors and nurses give patients good medical care and prolong their life. They are much more useful, and actually more essential to society than sports personalities. Without these ‘ordinary’ professions, our society would stop progressing. Their salaries should relate to skill, education or the value of the inpidual to society.
Things should be done to make salaries fairer. Huge amounts of money shall be given to more deserving people. It seems that the only solution is to impose heavy taxes upon people who earn excessively high salaries. (281 words)
Interview Skills
College is an important stage in one’s life, during this period, students will learn how to prepare for their future. When they graduate from college, they need to get many job interviews to pick out the favorite job. It needs some skills in order to impress the employer.
First, you need to prepare some answers for the possible questions. As we all know, the employers like to ask to some questions to test you, like introducing yourself, what is your opinion about the job position. You’d better prepare some answers for them, if you can not react right way, your hesitation makes employers think that you are not ready for the job position.
Second, you need to practice in front of your friends many times. When you get job interviews, it is naturally thing that you will feel nervous, because never face such situation before. In order to avoid your mind get blank, you need to ask your friends to help you. You treat them as the employers, and ask them to ask you some possible questions. Doing these, you will feel easy when you are in front of the employers.
Such are my advices about the interview skills. Don’t be afraid when you answer the question, if you are not doing well, you can tell yourself you can do it better next time, never be distressed. You can do it.
My View on The Craze of Pursuing Graduate
In recent years, there is an increasing number of college or university students go topursue graduate studies, also known as the craze of pursuing graduate studies. However, the increasing craze of pursuing graduate studies has also caused many problems in the meanwhile.
On one hand, the crazy of pursuing graduate studies has reflected the students’ eagerness of knowledge and the progress of the society. In addition, the crazeof pursuing graduate studies has alleviated employment pressure in a manner.
But on the other hand, many problems have followed. In the first place, with the development of the craze of pursuing graduate studies, a lot of colleges and universities have carried out the postgraduate education enrollment expansion policy. The policy has some bad impact on the quality of post graduate education. Moreover, the craze of pursuing graduate studies has increased the difficulty for the graduate employment. With the increase of the graduate students, the post graduate diploma has devaluated in some degree and that has caused the graduate students suffer more when hunting jobs. Last but not the least, the craze of pursuing of graduate studies has great impact on students themselves. For one thing, it hasgreatly increased the pressure from competition between students which has agreat influence on students’ physical and mental health. For another, those who have a fanatical pursuit for qualification or degree are usually lack of practical ability and have less knowledge than others.
In a word, the craze of pursuing graduate studies has been a hot topic on campus. As far as Iam concerned, we should take a critical attitude to treat this phenomenon.
Recreational Activities
Nowadays, there are many kinds of activities for people entertaining in their leisure time, especially in holiday, such as climbing a mountain, having a picnic, holding a party and so on. However, these recreational activities have its advantages but also bring some harmful influences to people’s lives.
First, to some extent, these recreational activities enrich people’s lives. Those who take part in different activities will not be easy to feel lonely or boring in their leisure time and live wonderful lives instead.Second, taking part in some group activities is a good form to strengthen friendships. For example, many students will hold a union to collect their old classmates or friends in winter holiday so that they have a common time to communicate with each other. Last but not least, such activities like climbing a mountain provide a good chance to do exercise.
However, these recreational activities also bring some problems at the same time. For one thing, taking part in too many these activities will increase the burden of themselves or their families because it is inevitable to spend some money in holding these activities. For another, some recreational activities have potential harm for participants’ health, particularly staying up all night, drinking and smoking.
Therefore, in my opinion, we have to make a careful consideration before we take part in these recreational activities.
